The House of mirrors

House of Mirrors is a deeply personal series that explores the people I’ve encountered throughout my life—each portrait a reflection of how I perceive their essence. These paintings are not just visual likenesses; they are emotional landscapes, constructed to evoke my impressions of their character and inner world. Each portrait is interwoven with symbolic elements—objects, places, and fragments of memory—that reference specific events or personal stories connected to the subject. These narrative details create layered compositions that invite viewers to piece together hidden connections. In an additional twist, I draw parallels between each individual and a cartoon character from our collective childhood imagination. I believe we each carry within us a cartoon alter ego—an emblem of our quirks, traumas, and truths. The pictorial space is built on geometric structures, vibrant colors, and playful forms, drawing inspiration from the visual language of pop art.
